About Castello di Verrazzano
The vineyards, replanted by the Cappellini family starting in 1958, extend from the edge of the forest to the entire valley below within boundaries that have remained unchanged for centuries. Fertilization is organic, the vineyards are mechanically weeded, and the harvest is entirely manual. The cutting of selected bunches during growth allows for a greater concentration of aromas and flavors in the grapes and increases the quality of the wines. The clay-limestone soil, the morphology, position (East exposure) and altitude (280-450m above sea level) create a particular terroir that characterizes all the wines in an original way for aromas, structure, longevity.
